B2B Sales Representative CV Template

A B2B sales representative CV built from a real job ad: prospecting, product demos, closed deals and bilingual skills, all backed by numbers.

The candidate of this template is fictional: keep the structure, replace the content with yours.

This is the CV of a B2B Sales Representative applying to a real job ad: selling a software solution to small businesses, from first contact to signed deal. The candidate is fictional: keep the structure and replace the content with your own experience.

For a sales job, your CV is your first sale. Recruiters look for proof: how many prospects you reach, how many you convert, and how much revenue you bring in. Below you will find the keywords from the ad, how to prove each one, and the template to download in Word or PDF.

What the recruiter is really looking for

Every line of your CV should answer a sentence in the ad. These are the ones that matter most.

French-English bilingualism required

"Required" means this is the first filter. Do not write "English: basic". Show it in action, for example "Presentations and negotiations in English with English-speaking clients".

Prospect and identify new B2B clients

Everyone writes "motivated" and "people person". Give your pace instead: "40 prospects contacted per week, 12 meetings booked on average".

Negotiate offers and close sales

The company wants someone who closes. State the amount you sold against your target: "18M CFA francs closed over the year, against a 15M target".

B2B sales experience preferred

B2B means selling to businesses. A shop, a pharmacy or a hardware store is a business client: count them, for example "Product demos for 25 small businesses".

Report on sales activity

Say who you report to, how often and with which tool: "Weekly report to the sales director in Excel: prospects, follow-ups, revenue closed".

Adapting this template to your application

  1. Read the ad and underline every task and every requirement, especially the ones marked "required".
  2. For each underlined word, find a true situation from your experience: a trade fair, a shop, a calling campaign, online sales.
  3. Add a number to every line: prospects, meetings, clients, amount closed, percentage of target reached.
  4. Put the lines that answer the ad's strongest requirements at the top of your experience.
  5. State your city and the cities where you can work, right under your name.
  6. Before sending, follow the ad's application instructions exactly: address, email subject line, CV format.

The .docx file can be edited in Word; the PDF is ready to send as is.

Frequently asked questions

Is this CV template free?

Yes. The template is free to download in Word and PDF, with nothing to pay to edit or send it.

Can applicant tracking systems read this CV?

Yes. It uses a single column, plain section headings and real text, with no complex tables and no images in place of words. Applicant tracking systems read this layout without errors.

I have never worked in B2B. Can I still apply?

If the ad says "preferred", it is not a deal-breaker. Highlight every sale you made to professionals, even in a shop or in the field: retailers, small companies, tradespeople. Say how many, and what you sold them.

How do I prove my English level without a certificate?

Describe what you do in English: client meetings, presentations, written exchanges. A qualification from an English-language school system or a recognised test can help, but professional use is more convincing than a self-assessed level.

Should I put a photo on a sales CV?

It is not necessary: this template has none, which leaves room for your numbers. If the ad or local practice expects a photo, use a professional one on a plain background.

Does this template work for other sales jobs?

Yes. It works for a field sales representative, an account manager, a business developer or a call centre agent. Keep the structure and swap the keywords for the ones in your ad.
